Flat-Rate Transportation from Boston Logan to the Steamship Authority at Woods Hole and Hy-Line Cruises at Hyannis
There are three ways to get to Martha's Vineyard from Boston by ferry, and our car service to Martha's Vineyard ferry runs to all three:
For travelers bringing a vehicle or wanting maximum schedule flexibility, the Steamship Authority from Woods Hole is the standard. It's the only ferry that takes cars and runs year-round. The 80-mile route from Logan takes about 1 hour 30 minutes off-peak. We drop at the terminal at 19 Railroad Avenue, Woods Hole — a 4-minute walk to the ferry.
The Hy-Line fast ferry from Hyannis is an excellent passenger-only choice, offering a smoother crossing in choppy waters. The drive to the Hyannis terminal is slightly shorter (1 hour 20 minutes) than Woods Hole. We drop at the Ocean Street Dock, Hyannis. Please specify "Hy-Line" at booking as it uses a different dock than the Steamship terminal in Hyannis.
Boston Limousine delivers you to the mainland ferry terminal. Once on the island, towns like Edgartown, Chilmark, and Aquinnah are spread out. We recommend arranging island-side transport through your hotel or a local taxi service in advance.
Ferry connections are time-sensitive; a missed boat can derail an entire vacation. Unlike rideshare apps that may cancel when traffic builds at the bridges, Boston Limousine's chauffeurs are scheduled in advance and our prices are locked at booking. No surge, no risk.
